I had one of these outside last year but it didn't return this year! Wasn't sure whether I needed to protect it or not! I'd be interested to know how you get on with it! 😀
A childhood favorite, my beautiful grandmother had some amazing colors, i loved to gently touch the flowers. In Australia they can be grown im most areas except snow ones. Unfortunately need to be started again each season. Wouldn't they make a stunning shrub display. But that mother nature for you. Recently joined, so many amazing plants and friendly interactions.
P.S outside or greenhouse, mine go throughout my flower patch area. Although do a wonderful job of attracting beneficial insects to the vegetable patch. Have begun planting more edible flowers this spring, amazing in salads etc (not cockscomb of course, have to watch for DEFINITE NON TOXIC, AS IF I NEEDED TO EVEN PUT THAT HERE. Cheers.
I've just been given this a present 🎁 but I think it's a garden not a house plant,is it an annual? Or can I over winter it and plant out? #gthelp
Not sure Carole , I had these outside , you could try in greenhouse or shed I suppose 🤔
Thank you 😊 @juliesgarden think I'll keep it in the garden room and see how it goes...

It won't survive the frosts and dislikes being wet. So I'd keep it as a houseplant or in the greenhouse 👍👍
Many thanks @hayleyaj so I think that's your answer @bigemrg ⬆️⬆️⬆️ ok 👌 let's see if I can get it through the winter ❄️
Good luck! 😀
Gonna need it @bigemrg 😂
