This is my first this season @linfoster I’m like that with the courgettes though - took my eye of the ball and they are massive!

Mmmh not the butternut squash I was expecting!? Can I cook them in the same way and how big do I let them grow? #gyo

@carolecuttingitfine if this is what I know as patty pan squash (probably a regional name), I cook them like I do crook neck.

Crook neck is might be an heirloom variety of yellow squash. It has so much more flavor.

I'm going to call it heirloom because it it so hard to find except in seeds. It has a crook on the narrow end.

Thank you @elizabethmcbroom do you peel and roast like a butternut or leave the skin on like a courgette? And what size are they ready to harvest? This one is the size of a saucer..

I usually don't peel them but I pick them a little smaller.
