Would have said this was Comfrey but not 100% sure, would much appreciate receiving confirmation, or other suggestions. #laundrycottage

I'm wondering if it might be a Silene dioica (Red campion)? You'll soon be able to tell when those buds open up.

Good morning @tash74 you were right, this plant is Red Campion, once the flowers opened it was clear that this is what it is. Thank you for you help in identifying this plant. Have a number of these plants going all the way down our driveway. We only moved in a few weeks ago so very exciting seeing what plants we have in the garden.

Ooh, lovely! Mine is in bud at the moment - I have a golden leaved form of it. Exciting to be see what is planted in a new garden!
