Old and fully grown. When I inherited it, it was very unkempt and dried out. I like to prune off a couple of dried out, brown fonds when needed, keeping at least 3 fronds per stalk- never cut the new light green growth in the center. As the ends of the fronds dry out at the base of the stalk, I easily peel them off to reveal the beautiful bamboo like stems. (Also one less place for bugs to hide) It flowers about once per year. (To the right is an aloe with far too many pups ;)
