Eremurus is going in today (Robustus) as well as 2 smaller Cleopatras! Can't wait to see them grow!

@telswirld Unfortunately there hasn't been any signs of growth and at this point I assume there won't be :( What a waste of £10. Luckily, I bought two smaller ones for £2.99 each which are growing. I think it's failure might be down to a few snapped roots rotting, as well as insufficienr drainage.

That’s a shame 😕 Bought 3 large bulbs last year, all are growing at the moment 🤞🏻our sandy soil must suit them BUT I’ve read that they don’t like any overcrowding oops 😬 I’ve been told they don’t flower in the first year 🙄 Such a diva of a plant! 💁🏻‍♀️ Look forward to see how yours develops 😉

@telswirld Thanks! Planted them around lots of bluebells so its quite hard to distinguish whats what. Not sure what I'll do if they don't flower, maybe some emergency sunflowers are in order?

Yes mine are surrounded by all sorts of bulbs & roots 😂 Maybe we can prove them all wrong 🥳😄

Soooo excited about this eremurus! I saw it on Gardeners world a few months back and spotted it in Hilliars this afternoon! Can't wait to see it flowering next year. Anyone have any tips?

Plant it on a raised mound of gravel to aid drainage.

The way you have it in the photo. Spread its roots down over the mound of gravel, good luck with it.
