#advice When would be an appropriate time to get this lovely rose into the ground? Planted it bareroot into the pot last winter but I've now prepared the perfect spot for it and don't want to damage it being too hasty.

Have now used rose clear for my rust problem. I am told I should pick off all the affected leaves but that's the majority of the plant!! Opinions?

Yep, strip the affected foliage so it doesn't spread to the unaffected foliage. I had to do that with my rhodo after it had black spot. It might regrow foliage this season and it will stop the rust from developing next year. Just remember to spray again with rose clear in early spring.

Oh, try and water only the soil around the roots and not the foliage and make sure it's not overcrowded by other plants as that promotes rust.

Make sure you clear up all the fallen leaves as well. I have a black spot issue partly because last year I didnt clear all or as much as I could get of the fallen leaves.

@cyndi Snipped leaves in half and pushed the stems as far as they can go to the v for now. Looking a bit droopy, how often should I water them?

@cyndi it wouldn't be hard just means another trip haha! I have another variety in the shed which looks like older growth to me (not too sure) which i was going to leave in water until tomorrow and then root it. Ill have a check then and have a go. They seem to be longer stems so i think it could be older wood

@cyndi thanks,i apriciate the help. I hope it works too, itll be nice to keep her memory alive in the plant without having to dig it up and take it all the way home, that way the new owners of the house can enjoy the rose too :)
