I let mine flower last year, got some berries lovely berries too 😀 Tempting to leave again but it's already grown so much already this year.
Get shrubs and for hedging @richard.spicer.7906 just a bit vigorous to leave as hedging, normally i start trimming after the flowers start to fade, good to hard prune in winter if they get out of shape.
Ah, good to know that - I've often felt I missed the pruning season and then leave it to the following year 👍🏼 @charliewah
