#gyo I tried those this year but apparently it is a acquired taste? We felt it tasted like rotten mud, is that a thing or did something go wrong? I think they look fabulous

We cut them up into bite size pieces and sauté them with onions and mushrooms. I haven’t noticed a strong flavor when they are smaller. But when the heat starts outside they get much stronger and then they hit the compost bin!! @lifeonaroofterrace

@cheriej thank you! That must have been it then. I harvested very very late as i loved the colour on my balcony 😀 good to know!

They were introduced to me by a friend who grows them, but doesn’t eat them. She plants them in clumps and lets them get as big as they want. Then she cuts them and uses them in flower arrangements! They definitely make a statement in the garden!! @lifeonaroofterrace

Winter decided to turn nasty on us a few weeks back and we had to rush things from the garden into the greenhouse and pray hard!! The Chard seems to like it!
