After many cold cloudy days, finally able to get out. This trillium that I thought did not like where she was transplanted, has sprouted and is ready for a shady Spring!
I transplanted it last Summer from a friends yard. She was living in TOTAL shade so I put her under a tree and tried to keep her moist. Within 2 months, she totally withered and died, shriveled to the ground. I forgot about her over the long cold Winter. Imagine my surprise when I ventured out in the yard yesterday and found this wonderful lady was not mad at me after all....just sleeping!
