Gardening in mostly deep shade in Zone 6. My passion is adding more native plants to my landscape & clearing out the foreign invasives.

Not 100% sure of the #plantid but the guy who posted this at GrowIt said it set him back $350. But looking at these beigey or #brown flowers makes me understand immediately why he wanted it...Until the price drops it will definitely remain #notmyplant

He probably did not get ripped off... @happenstantials has a spectacular garden full of rarities and he may have had to go to some lengths to find this specimen. Trilliums are pretty common but knowing him, this one isn't common at all. The ones you posted for instance are indeed toadshades and they are not hard to obtain. I have seen yellow and white Trilliums too of course. But see if you can scare up a beige one.

That's one very pricey plant. Fantastic leaves but, leave it behind. I'd be thinking of all the plants I could get for that money. Next dilemma is of course, where to put them 😁💚💚

@midnightgardener my strategy is always to pull out something that doesn't belong in Zone 6 in Michigan and replace it with something that does. That's outdoors. Indoors it's all exotic succulents from Africa and begonias from the rainforests of Borneo...
