@purplebird she will be next year. She should be bright white . This was a rescue that I paid very little for. They would've just thrown her away :)

So many to rescue. ..so little growing space hehe. #louisiana #orchidsaturday #orchid #Phalaenopsis
Well if you ever travel to Indiana, you can bring any overflow rescues with you and I would be glad to adopt them.😉
Or if going to Georgia, you could drop them off at my brother in laws orchid green house and he and my sister would babysit till the next time I visit them. 😉😉
@purplebird the only way I'm getting rid of and Orchid is if it's DEAD lol. I'm jealous of your sister and brother inlaw....I'm thinking about a very small greenhouse . I'm still trying to talk my husband into giving me the shed for a potting shed....he didn't think it was funny lol.
Well their green house is far from commercial. But they did expand the tiny thing they had some. Then a tree fell on it, during the last I think it was a hurricane. They are not on the coast but 1 hour plus a little on the interstate and they are at the coast. So they got some strong winds and rain. But the way it was built the "roof" was only heavy plastic sheeting over frame at this point so it wasn't to expensive to fix after spending days getting that tree removed. It was big!
I am jealous of them because they left me here in the cold and got close to 5 acres in the woods in south east Georgia. The habitat is the same as Northern Florida. Who has a commercial green house is Grantham's (Bee Lynda) sister. She raises and sell her own orchids. I saw photo of building, big! And she has won, is it ribbons, well she has some kind of winners. My words are failing I know what it was called but it won't come to me. That is why I thought Bee Lynda might be able to help. Cont.
Continued: she has been able to in the past. I am wondering if she didn't see the bloom well in that photo. But I sent a different one to my sister, I hope that is ok, they won't repost it or anything. And I wanted a closer view of the bloom on the not moth orchid and I could send both views of it to my sister if you have a closer view. 🤗 Long winded I am.
@purplebird I'm fine with you sending a copy . I attached of the close up of the flower as well as the foliage . I hate the cold..we don't get to could in Southern Louisiana. Although we did freeze two night this year. Just enough to really burn a lot of my new landscaping :(
OK I will send photos also and hopefully one of us working on this will get the correct name! And I hate the new weather patterns messing up everyone's plants. And the birds have to adapt to habitat changes due to the changes in weather or they die out. And some species are in niches and can't seem to adapt to any changes!😢
@purplebird I hope it got cold enough to kill to darn flatworms lol. I reread my last comment. ..I need to laugh at all the mistakes. ..is it me being dyslexic or just being tired or my awesome texting skills hehe. Oh well. THANKS AGAIN for all the help...and wonderful conversation. Xoxo Christeen
Well my fingers are too big and I have to hit my keys on the left side or my phone types then next key to the right. But I have to catch those typos, my auto correct won't most of the time. But it goes and changes whole words that were not misspelled or even bad grammar. Words that I meant to type. It makes me so mad. Sometimes I see it change a word to something totally different. But sometimes I go and try to proof read what I wrote for my typos and different words are exchanged for my words.
Continued: and sometimes I forget to proof before I send. And then I have to edit. And the system puts both copies out. And if I try to erase the one with the errors, it erases the good one. Now this doesn't happen every time but just about everyday at some point. I usually get mad and add a new comment about the edit gremlins. Ugh!😠

#waterculture I'll give a try. We shall see; )
@spearce16 some take to it quick...but I have had several that lost all there roots and I'm having to baby them. YouTube has a lot of people doing videos on how to do this. Just remember to be patient. I would suggest watching a lot of videos before you make the decision. I can say this is the way I like to grow them now.

@christeentranchina What An amazing way to grow an orchid! Do you mist it daily?
@undergrowth I keep it two days in water and dry for for several days. I just watch the roots they let you know when they need water.
