These look very similar to mine! I’ve been desperate to find out what variety they are. @churchfarmgarden

I always called them spuria @mulberry but checked up on the Internet and they were also called Turkish apparently, who knew?

I’ve just googled them and I think that’s definitely what I have. I’ve posted some pics recently - see what you think @churchfarmgarden

Yes yours and mine are definitely the same Hilary @mulberry, good you had photos of the bud stage too, that's just how mine are. I love how they're so tall and straight.

They are very tall!! Thank you so much @churchfarmgarden - I’ve been wondering which variety these were for years, having not planted them myself! 😊

It was the same with me Hilary @mulberry I really don't know where mine came from originally, GT is very good for this kind of thing. They do increase which is a bonus.

They’re brilliant, Sue! Mine come up reliably every year, even though I do nothing and they’re in my tricky dry/partly shady border. I think one year something seemed to be eating the buds from the inside, but that’s it. Low maintenance and lovely! @churchfarmgarden
