Took me ages to catch one of our resident bumble bees leaving the nest, they're much too busy to pose for photos 🐝🐝🐝 #wildlifewednesday

This is my urn Deborah @DeborahBanks it's not looking it's best at the moment but you get the idea. I'm thinking any small leaved plant would do the job, or succulents maybe? A favourite terracotta pot of mine exploded after the last hard frost and I'm going to see if I can do something arty with the broken pieces 🧺

Ah yes that is a fab idea. I'd been looking at tipped urn ideas. How easy to contain is mind your own business? I know it can spread lots. My other thought was some hosta and ferns and them some trailing annuals.

You have to keep on top of it, I try and limit it to the urn and one other area behind a sleeper but it's very cunning and regularly makes a break for freedom. It was already in our garden but I've eradicated most of it 😊 @DeborahBanks

Lovely! I’ve been quite surprised how hardy this little plant is as we have lots of it growing at Serge hill around the garden as well as in the glasshouse. Seems to be fine with snow and frosts!

Thanks @DeborahBanks @richard.spicer.7906 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @jacaranda @gjones @Susanandsteve we dug up the urn when remodelling the garden, sadly it's not an ancient one but only concrete, but I like the odd quirky feature and it does the job 😊
