Good morning! So pleased to see my bougainvillea back to full strength again! Love the blooms on this, the stamen are little flowers themselves! #bougainvillea #pink #yellow

So pleased to see this coming back to life! It got frazzled in the conservatory in April while on holiday and has been outside ever since. I didn't think I'd see any flowers this year!

@David one I like about these plants is that they are very hardy.I have a few that I almost lost due to severe yellowing of the leaves. I am really happy to see the progress they have made. By the way their hardiness makes them ideal specimens for bonsai.

@flof1952 they're are very common out here in the tropics as well. #the Caribbean #Jamaica

@Jason and @flof1952 I am really surprised how hardy they are given they are native to the Mediterranean and tropics! This was a dried stick in April!! Would love to let this grow up the side of the house but I'm sure that would be pushing my luck in Jersey! So it's usually in the conservatory.

My unhappy Bougainvillea. Its been in the conservatory for the past few years and never flowers very well. So thanks to advice from @tucksjersey and @mftb it is now outside soaking up the last of the Jersey summer. I wonder if it is too late for it to flower this year...?

Was it neglected? I have a Jasmine that I didnt love as mucj as I should have and today I decided to sort it! Have taken photos and if I have managed to help it I will put photos on GT

To be honest @kathy I think it was never watered enough! The conservatory gets up to 40 degrees some days so the soil was permanently dry. I guess even drought resistent plants have their limits!!

But not too much water when outside @David at least not until you see some sign of life!! Drop it round to me and iI'll put it with mine, a bit of company might help, it looks sad and lonely !! 😢😆

@David Bougainvilla like direct sun light and they will bloom where there is a relatively good amount of natural light. I dont know how long you've relocated it but still haven't gotten any blooms you can apply a water soluble fertilizer #bloombooster with a greater percentage of #phosphorus. I hope this works for you.

Thank you @Jason that's great to know! It's pretty dormant at the moment as its cold in the UK but when it's starts to warm up I will give that a try. 👍🏼

Ok I wouldn't really understand your challenge because it is sunny all year round through out the seasons here in Jamaica.
