Located with a distant view of the River Deben in Suffolk and open to meadows. I am trying to merge the garden with the wild indigenous plants.

Aquilegia getting a bit invaded by the poppies, but growing so tall to fend them off!

The lovely aquilegia seed-heads are forming….. they look great right through to the winter and provide lovely surprises next spring🥰

I don’t often disagree with Monty…..but last night he said Aquilegia should be cut back to the ground this time off year!!! What nonsense. The seed heads are so elegant and provide a few more seedlings next year, the dark stems are beautiful and the changing colours of the foliage into the winter is gorgeous!

I think the colours are caused by the frosting over the last few weeks Natalie. I love the colours too.... good old nature!
