Fourth season in the garden at my new home. Finally sold the old home, so my weekends I can now devote my time and energy here.

@dealiv @SikoMa I love this. It's Iris reticulata. And probably a variety called Katherine Hodgkins. Very nice😉

I moved here 3 years ago, and it has been an amazing gift to discover all the beautiful flowers that appear. Many I've never seen before. This was one of the early spring plants that surprised me blooming following a snow fall.💮💮💮 @JeanChapin @SikoMa 👍

I know how you feel @dealiv. We just bought our place earlier this past May. Place had been vacant for nearly 3 years. Lots and lots of new plants I have uncovered. At least new to me. Lol

Googled Iris Reticulata Katherine Hodgkins and it is definitely a match.

@SikoMa @dealiv whoever had this garden was a connosieur and knew their plants. And they had good taste. I'm delighted it's been taken on by you, who is appreciating the beauty. I'll look forward to more pictures... I know you'll have more surprises popping up to great you!!! 😊

This garden was planted by Barbara and Alvin definitely connoisseurs. When I signed the sale papers their son gave me a folder with photos starting in 2000 when the property was an empty lot. He said his mom was a master gardener and they had some rare plants. I want to be a good steward of this garden. One of my challenges has been to know if I have a weed coming up or beautiful flower. Consequently some beds are overgrown with weeds that I did not pull soon enough. Thank you @jeanchapin
