Pilea peperomioides

My office pilea is loving life and constantly shooting out new leaves. It sits less than a foot away from a west facing window, & gets water once a week. Is there anything I can do to help the new leaves flatten like the older ones? I’ve heard it just takes time, as the leaf is still “unfurling”. Is that right?

After observing tiny pinhole divets in my pilea leaves, I'm a little worried. Is it time to spray insecticide? Any advice?
