Yay its friday! My hydrangea cuttings have grown new leaves, so far 4/6 so that's made me happy. It makes up for the verbena cuttings which were doing good and then overnight they all shrivelled up and died. You win some you lose some...
👍🏼well done...
Reminds me to check mine 🤔

I've been so lucky that the house was previously lived in by a man called John. He died a few years ago and had no family I believe, but he is often in my thoughts in the garden. It was John who planted so many things here I love, all the hydrangeas, the Rowan tree, beech hedges, rhubarb. Every so often something else appears that I havent planted that came from John. I re dug and enjoyed his pond. I never met him but he has taught me lots and gave me so much to enjoy.
I'll still think of him even when I'm in my new house as I've taken lots of cuttings from John's plants. I hope he looks down on me and smiles like he has made me smile.
I am sure that he is Deborah. What a lovely sentiment ❤️
What a lovely post! Thanks for sharing.
It’s funny sometimes I think...I wonder if the next person in this house will love my garden like I have...they simply have to....
Yep Elaine, I'm really really hoping the next people will love it and look after it. I'm never coming coming back to look though as it would make me too sad if they dont. @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Extreme rescue mission. My friend has (had) a gorgeous red hydrangea. I asked her on monday if I could come take a cutting. When she got back from work today her husband had dug all the shrubs out. I've got it sat in water for a bit trying to save it. He also cut down a fabulous black elder. It's a good job he's not my over half! 😫
If he was mine I think divorce bells might be ringing in the background. Thank god I have my hubby trained, he doesn’t even pull a weed for fear it’s something I am doing something with. An weed wacking is a riot. He won’t let me do it because he feels it’s his job, do he went an bought the stupidly expensive weed wacker. When he gets done the lawn it looks like it wasn’t even touched.😂
😲😲😲😫 I dread to think what I would do to my OH if he even so much as breathed on my plants the wrong way 😂😈

Found my first flowers on the hydrangea
The hydrangea that came with the front garden. Its very bright pink it appears.
Lovely, it's mainly down to the soil as to what colour your flowers will be👍
Lovely colour one Deborah @DeborahBanks 😍😘
