Trying to transform a new bare garden in windy, coastal Cumbria.
Any advice @charlotte greatly received. I'm going to repot it today.
It looks healthy enough but yes it definitely needs repotting. Some fresh compost will perk it up. Do you have a greenhouse it can go in ? If not keep it indoors for a few weeks as the nights are still too cold for it outside.
Thank you @charlotte and yep that's inside the greenhouse. I hope I get some fruit. Homegrown ratatouille would be exciting
Home grown aubergines taste great. You should get several off one plant.
I agree with Charlotte, get it potted on and feed it before putting it in its final pot
Thank you @vegandmore
I'm not keen on aubergine. Had a delicious vegetarian moussaka with aubergine today though. I'm noti have the patience to prep aubergine myself.
My husband’s not keen but I sneak it into pasta sauces. I don’t do any of that salting beforehand malarkey @ublaszko just cut and use.
Ah. That makes sense. I've tried a few different recipes with aubergines but I prefer courgettes. I really need to sow my courgettes 🤭
