I also take cuttings and other flowers stems to propagate. I don't use any rooting hormone to root, All I do is just put them in moist soil or I've rooted in just water. I can give u another natural way to help is by dipping your ends in Cinnamon,it's also a natural antifungal. So u r Getting both in one dip😊 ALSO, U will get quicker results from your cuttings by the rose off of the stem. It takes alot of energy from the production of roots and if u aren't careful u will ⬇️⬇️

Rot the ends of your stems from it. I hope this helps you and u will be using natural ways if u r wanting to use hormones. OH, U can also mix the cinnamon in your soil to help keep 8t from building up fungal adgents. #cinnamon #cinnamonuses #naturalantifungal #naturalrootinghormone #propagationadvive

Went ahead and beheaded these beautiful babes. Good think they were long enough that I was able to save the flowers for a little while longer! #propagate #cutting #rose #roses #unknown #plantid #plantid-rose #closeup

Thank you!! I'll post pictures in a second but I'm hopeful. I've had the best luck with the baggie method and that link you provided recommended this. So I'm hopeful!

I'm definitely willing to cut them if it means I'll be able to get it to root. Thank you!

Was able to get my hands on some beautiful rose cuttings. I would really love to be able to propagate these but I also wanna enjoy their beauty. I dipped them in rooting powder before putting them in distilled water. Anyone have any tips and tricks? @cyndi @jennlamaye ?? #propagate #cutting #rose #roses #unknown #plantid #plantid-rose

My honest thought is that this won’t be very successful. 😞 The flower takes up so much energy, so I wouldn’t expect it to produce roots. But, it never hurts to try! ❤️

If I were to clip the flower is there a chance it'll root? @jennlamaye if it means I'll have a plant I can sacrifice 😭😂

@demeterstouch I don’t see any leaves on the cutting, so I don’t think that would help. I’m not an expert though, so I hope other friends might give better advice. From experience, when you take a clipping to try and root, you try to not pick a branch with a flower. I don’t know if that’s because it’s already using the energy of the branch or just because it uses all the energy to maintain the flower. Hope that makes sense... 💕

On the plus side, I bet the rooting powder will keep those blooms longer. 😉
