@Denise16 I've heard that used coffee grounds works, I've started this year around my #lupins so fingers crossed that will keep the #slugs at bay, if you're interested #starbucks give there spent grounds away #free 😉

My beer pot and eggshells keeping them away from delphinium so far so good and I use coffee grounds round hostas too 😄

New addition to my hosta corner😀What is it with slugs & Hostas. Do they have hosta radar??? No sooner had I planted & watered, went to fetch the slug pellets, then came back to find a big slug crawling up it already 😡🐌❌

It is as catnip to them 🙁

Slugs and hostas are terrible! Nothing I do works to get rid of them, and I've tried a lot of stuff.

Will they even climb the older taller Hostas? @susieg @rachellescott

The advanced slug pellets have worked so far with my first 2 hostas🤞🏽

I guess I better try the "advanced" slug pellets then...the original ones didn't work for me. I am glad it is helping for you. I do think they will climb on your old one too if you didn't use the slug pellets.

Also you don't get any slugs left behind with the advanced one. I don't know where they end up 🙈@rachellescott

Have you tried beer traps? Please read dangers of slug pellets they are very poisionus to children and wildlife and really don't kill that many slugs. @Denise16 @rachellescott

This brand is called growing success advance slug pellets and is reported to be harmless to wildlife. @moore.794
