Thanks I'll be sure to have roommate get rid of the patch I found at the horse ranch she works at. She suspected they were toxic to the cattle anyway. Thank you again, I forgot to put #plantid on any of my uploads that day. I was too busy trying to explore the massive property. Her boss has 10 times my acreage lol. I figured 10 times the chance to find tasty natives...not in this case tho😄😐
These are not ground cherries, 80% sure. The leaves are not right... BUT please don’t let the simple outer “lantern” shape tell you it is a bad thing. Ground Cherries look much like these though to an untrained eye, no difference, so if in doubt, do not eat! My Ground Cherries = ONE distribution nursery of heirlooms. Can’t find the real ones, the non-tomatillo actual ground cherries are perfection. And ingrained into my youth as a delicacy with my grandmother in her garden.
Pretty sure it's a ground cherry...def night fam
#chineselantern very invasive.
