I don’t think these moth orchids liked being in direct sunlight, some of there leaves started to turn yellow, let’s see how they do here
These are gorgeous😊
U should watch miss orchid girls videos she is so informative!
I’ll try the videos out @heatherdirtyhands . I need to learn how to manage new orchids flower stalks. They start out so ridged and break easy
Just lovely
She will tell u. EVERYTHING u need to know
Moth orchids like most but not all epithet orchids don't like direct sunlight they naturally live in forest under tree canopies. They preference indirect light particularly in summer when the sun will be far to strong and bright. The early morning sun should be ok. Dappled or light shade is perfect.
Thank you @lydiastirling I thought as much
Im not sure if you can get this book in the US but if you can the happy orchid by Sara Rittershausen is extremely good, eaisy to follow with lots of information. She owns a Orchid nursery here in the UK which her Grandfather started and has been going now for 70 years. They do have a YouTube channel as well I belive which is worth looking at the nursery is called Burnham nursery.
Your welcome

Didn’t think I could be an orchid guy but I’m pretty good at it as long as it’s a #moth-orchid so far #bestof
#greatcolor
Beautiful orchids. May try some. They have jacked up the price here during COVID. Some are 65 dollars. Too much for me right now. Will enjoy yours 👍🌸
Wow that’s a lot Diane @hkyfvr $12 is the most I’ve paid.
That is a much more reasonable price. Things in Canada are more expensive than in the US due to our dollar being 75 cents or so USD. Costco used to be the cheapest at 20 dollars but cannot go there due to lockdown. Even the local garden centre is expensive now. Only the mini ones are affordable. Will wait till they come down. Will enjoy yours 👍💛💖

I use to think #orchid was a hard plant to care for but there not so tough. My wife convinced me to start bringing them home. I think it’s the spotted orchid but not sure @novicegardenlover do you know again
It's a pretty one Doc! Another great choice from Mrs Thrill, but I don't know the specifics, just that it's a #phalaenopsis @Christos may be able to help
@docthrill It is very hard to find a name among all this hybrids. For sure it is a Phalaenopsis and a very beautiful.
