Last year's #pumpkins came in at 100kg+ each. Amazing to think that this years is nothing more than a leaf at the moment #giantpumpkins

I would love to grow a pumpkin that big. I grew my first plant this spring and it's been a disaster. I think I started too early. Is it too late to have another go?

Just plant another seed

:) I compete with a couple of experienced growers and they do.it all properly.. I put a seed in a pot with compost and keep on the windowsill until it has a few leaves then plant out :) water alot... Always water along the runners and not the leafs. I hand pollinate flowers (YouTube it, very simple) when you get a fruit the size of a football start snapping the rest off.. Give it a bottle of locally brewed ale every few weeks and you quite easily get a #giantpumpkins perfect for Halloween :)

Have ordered some more seed and will try again. My plant hasn't died but looks very sad. It wilts in the heat of the day then picks up when it gets cool in the evening. I don't know if that's normal? I've read loads of articles but none have mentioned hear stroke!
