Another bold experiment! Making a test batch of oven-fried okra to see if A) it's edible and B) it stands up to reheating. If it passes the tests I can bring some to Mardi Gras next month, which my department is in charge of this year...These are round in cross section unlike normal okra...

My single okra pod is getting markedly longer and bigger...less round, more #pentagonal
These were just labeled PREMIUM OKRA. They were going for five smackers each, but looked incredibly run-down and pitiful. I have failed with this vegetable before but my heart went out to this poor critter. #rescueops #pentagonal
