Elaeagnus angustifolia

This is all you can smell everywhere you go lately. I decided to get a photo because I never saw one of these invasive shrubtrees until I moved out here. I was surprised first when the flowers, which look yellow when you drive by, turn out to be white when seen close up. The perfume borders on overpowering at a distance, but the closer you get the less #fragrant they seem, as if the scent were a force field not emanating directly from the tiny flowers. #weirdness #killitwithfire
