A close-up of the tiny #fragrant trumpets on Russian Olive, a paradoxical treeshrub. The scent is overpowering at a distance but only so-so close up. The flowers are distinctly yellow seen from the road but bright white from a foot away. The fruits are described in every plant book as "edible, stringy and leathery." #yum #weirdness #killitwithfire
