Gardening in mostly deep shade in Zone 6. My passion is adding more native plants to my landscape & clearing out the foreign invasives.

Help me identify this viny thing I keep seeing at the Post Office. I have never seen anything that looks like flowers on it. Good-sized, shiny leaves. # plantid

Looks a lot like Euonymus, Wintercreeper maybe? Is it shrub like or more like a clinging vine?

@cheriej it acts vinelike but I don't see any grippers on it like the ones on ivy or Virginia Creeper. It is growing up and thru a fence that conceals the base of the plant so that doesn't help... @donnadaisymae I don't even know what you are referring to!

I really think that’s it. It’s used a lot here for hedging, but it’s horribly invasive. Also a magnet for scale. I would not recommend it.

That sure looks like it @cheriej and in a fitting touch, it's looming over their patch of Chameleon Plant, adjacent to a Bradford pear #killitwithfire
