Spotted these while on the road for work. Someone planted these long ago and now they have run wild. Beautiful 5' plants but yikes, #killitwithfire

This stuff is in the woods behind my house. It's creeping onto my property. Ugh!
This is only a sample of what's there @cheriej 😬 @ewhayden cut it off close to the ground and immediately paint the cut face of each cane with a kills to the root herbicide.
We have masses of the stuff in the Welsh Valleys we're I live its a massive problem it even manages to grownthrough concrete and spreads really quickly. We have to call in specialist to get rid of it if I comes in gardens or the council if its in the back lanes. It spreads so quickly and easily. Who ever planted that is an idiot. It's hugely invasive and a bit only few mm will set roots.
Make sure you burn all the bits that have been cut back and nothing it left behind
