Help me identify this plant. No idea what it is but it grows very fast. Seems to sprout up 6 inches overnight. It's hollow inside and obviously perenial that dies back each winter bc I can see the old stems at it's base. #plantid
@cottagegardendave. I did a bit of reading and I think you're right. 😕 So far I've only found it in a small area under the plum tree about 25 m from the house. Is it still an issue if it's not near a building? I just can't really afford professional help to deal with it. 😞
Hi, it’s not something I’ve ever had to deal with personally so I’m afraid I can’t be much help there, I only know it can become a real issue if left to take a hold. I’m pretty sure there’s some pretty powerful chemicals to deal with it now but I couldn’t tell what they are or if there’s any regulations on using it. Sorry I can’t be any more help 😔.

I have a horrible feeling that might be Japanese knotweed 😬. You’ll need professional help to get rid of it if it is.
