Girl, I'm so disgusted with catalog orders! They never seem to thrive for me! I don't get what I'm doing wrong but I'm done with online ordering for a while.
@lesliecole49 it's very much worth doublechecking the growing instructions on any plant you buy from a nursery, a catalogue, wherever. They're very often dead wrong. For years I failed at raising Cardinal Flower because the tags always said they needed well-drained soil. They belong in swampland! Check and doublecheck!
I always Google any plant I buy and check and double check several sites because I'm so bad at keeping things alive! For instance the cardinal flower, nope, not dry or wet, sun or partial sun, they just fade away to invisibility. My thumb really has to work at being green.
This popped up in an ad. #interestingfoliage ! The variety name, fittingly, is "Crimson Fans." #notmyphoto #notmyplant
Wow 🤩 look 👀 at that, I love #foliage who needs flowers when you have color like that, bravo, very worth posting
I'm going to have to watch for this!
@lesliecole49 this is a photo from the Van Bourgondien catalogue...
