With all this Creeper on the slope, I'm going to be pretty vexed if I don't get some 8-spotted foresters out of the deal this year #hostplant
Hell of a lot of that here too
I read @lesliecole49 that it used to be an uncommon plant before wholesale deforestation. It only lives at the edge of the woods but now there's nothing but edge... #curiouscases

This creeper/climber is underappreciated. Several spectacular moths host on it, the fall color is stunning and it repels trespassers, who often mistake it for poison ivy. #midwesternnative
Maybe underappreciated but I pull miles of it off my fences and buildings. I have to chop it down if I wanted to get into my woodshed right now. But you're right about people thinking its poison ivy, tho, some are actually allergic to it
I’m dreadfully allergic to it. Found out the hard way while pulling down an invasive vine coming through my neighbor’s fence. Worse than poison ivy *shudder* 😳
It's going great guns now... #hostplant #shadelover #midwesternnative
Who is it a host plant for?
@sushiwaitress Virginia Creeper Sphinx, Abbott's Sphinx Moth, Panorama Sphinx Moth, White-lined Sphinx and the coveted Eight-Spotted Forester!
But wait, there's more @sushiwaitress ! There turns out to be a 6th, the Achemon Sphinx!
