I finally remembered to pull over and get a shot of this rose growing behind a doctor's office in my town. I thought all this time it must be "Blaze," but seen up close the flowers are maybe half the size and there are many more per cluster. Does anyone know the name? #plantid
Could be #paulsscarlet
Looked that up @sieveheadsarah and I couldn't find any indication of flower size or petal count. Do you know how large the flowers are on "Paul's Scarlet"?
They’re not very big Eileen, I have one so I’ll tag you so you can see it. 👍🏼
I look forward to it @sieveheadsarah
I tagged you, did you see?? It’s weird as it isn’t finding you when I’m trying to tag you from the old pic of the rose, so I’ve had to type your name in 🤨🤨 @emch
I don't see that I was tagged, no @sieveheadsarah 🤔
It’s very odd Eileen 🤨 if you go into my profile, plants list and find it in there, there’s quite a few pics 👍🏼😀 @emch
Close-up of a cluster of these climbing roses. This photo captures the color well -- true fire-engine red -- and there are upwards of 5 flowers per cluster but they're quite tiny, not quite 2" (5 cm) fully open. Anyone know the cultivar name? #plantid
Are these Blaze? Love it!
I thought "Blaze" had full-size flowers. But I last saw one in bloom in the early 1970s, so...? @shawnasea
I posted that before I saw your second photo. You are correct, Blaze is full-sized. Close ups are deceiving. Still a pretty flower!!
