I was quite worried about this #swamptastic #midwesternnative for a while there but now it looks totally fine! #hostplant hopes are high...

These are just kind of hanging in there and not really thriving, weeks after they were planted in supposedly excellent conditions for them: constantly moist soil in full sun most of the day. Is this extended transplant shock or am I doing something wrong? Can anyone advise?

Planted at the wide end of the Triangle of Defiance, in super-rich, sopping-wet soil full of earthworms as big as ball pythons. This plant is a host for the coveted Black Swallowtail butterfly. May they and the swallowtails prosper here. #midwesternnative #swamptastic
