@Yollymac I’ve only had it about a week. I wasn’t planning to water it until the outer leaves have died back. These are my first lithops so I’m purely operating off Google searches and YouTube videos.

That's a great idea. The reason you do not water lithops during leaf changes are that their roots go dormant and they absorb all their water from the outer leaves. If you water then you signal to the plant to reactivate those roots, they then absorb water through the roots rather than taking it from their outer leaves. This can lead to rotting, damage due to them taking up too much water.
