What a beautiful day today! Really could have done with being at home in the garden than at work with screaming children 😂 Anyway, my first Magnolia blooms since its super harsh prune last year #chinesemagnolia #magnolia #mygarden #blooms

My magnolia tree not looking too happy following a super heavy prune earlier this year, kinda worried I've ruined it now 😢 but there's some signs of hope, lots of new growth shooting out from everywhere. #cluelessgardener #magnolia

They are beautiful aren't they @ukjohnny 😍 I hope I haven't ruined it by pruning it heavily. Time will tell!
Yes I think I was a little late with the pruning but hopefully it will be ok @ukjohnny it grows so fast!

So Miss Faerie Gardener got a bit carried away with the #magnoliatree today! It makes the garden look so much bigger! Also deadheaded and pruned some of my #roses as due to newbie research I discovered #blackspot 😔 not to worry though!! This garden will be fit for Faeries in no time! #faeriegardener
@carolgs Could I ask your advise please? I've cut back my magnolia tree today to a more manageable size but now I'm a bit worried that I might have overdone it and damaged it.... what do you think? Thank you ❤
It should be OK as you have done it now and has time to heel before the winter comes, if you have any cut any really big branches it might be worth getting a seal and heal product to paint on from the GC (garden centre) that will help, now you have it at a more manageable size next summer only cut back the new growth @faerie you can spray rose clear on your roses to help with blackspot
Thank you so much @carolgs I was beginning to worry! I'll nip to the GC tomorrow and get some seal & heal 😊 I'll also pick up something for the roses too! Thank you again! I really appreciate your help! x

Newly discovered that this is a Magnolia Tree 😊😊 thank you @carolgs 💚
If you need to do any shaping or pruning now is the time to do it @faerie
Yes @carolgs my husband keeps complaining that it's getting too big (which I'll admit.... it is!) I was wondering when would be best to prune! You're a gem! Thank you so much 💚
I love this Magnolia it looks so healthy and the size, oh my!🌝🐝🦋
I've just cut it right back @midnightgardener it was getting a bit too out of hand 😊
I have one in my front garden which is just so big. Pruned in May so hoping itl be alright for spring. :)
I heavily pruned mine @steadysgirl7 .... I really hope I haven't killed it 😱
