This just arrived from California a couple days ago. Got him in substrate but itā€™s wobbly because of the lack of roots. My bulldog just knocked him completely out of the pot... heā€™s so unstable bc so top heavy! Will I stress him too much repotting a second time? My ā€œdirtā€ is pretty wet, Iā€™d rather not put too much of that in the mix. Time of year, roots are more likely to be going dormant, you know? I just donā€™t want to pack him in too hard either... should I just wiggle him back Iand stabilize?

Oh sorry, I really donā€™t know much about cactus. I have quite a few and I donā€™t water them, I just let the rain take care of them but it hardly ever rains here. Good luck 🍀

Thanks anyway @philstalder I did end up just trying to put the poor thing back in his pot & I think it will be ok. I was just alarmed at the time, it hit the concrete and... oh dear😂

@fearlessthereforepowerful it seems you have the right idea. That's what I would do.

When I run into this problem I use a heavy, stable planter of some kind and moor the occupant with some kind of very Zen rocks.
