Yes @brightcolours the only thing I could come up with was honeysuckle but I may be wrong. What do you think

I don't know anything about this #bauhinia but did find it on the Brisbane weed list... May not be as weedy in Sydney. http://weeds.brisbane.qld.gov.au/weeds/red-bauhinia

This plant is a creeper growing over my neighbors fence and it has no spikes but beautiful orange flowers and the leaves fold up like a heart shape.

Hi Fiona, I agree with @brightcolours it is a Bauhinia galpinii 'orange orchid '. Maybe Katie can tell you about how vigorous it is, I have never grown it. The best way is to ask the neighbour how much they need to cut it back.
