@growerguy - Loofah is a what you buy to exfoliate in the shower, or scrub pans, etc. Its almost a type of cucumber when its young, as it's edible. Once its mature it turns into a great natural sponge-ish scrubber. They grow quickly.

They grow like crazy here in swfl. One seed gives me plenty! The young loofah can be eaten - very similar to cucumber.

Really the young one can be eaten??? I'm learning new things here and thanks to Gtag! @skellyshelly . No one plant this in Nigeria, it's weed that grows on its own and people sometimes use as sponge but mostly it's ignored or cut off
