OMG Bestie brought over some loofah and seeds last night. Been soaking, and now going in to plant my own. Super excited!!! #loofah

That is so cool!

And super easy @jasonjames. 😉

They grow like crazy here in swfl. One seed gives me plenty! The young loofah can be eaten - very similar to cucumber.

Really the young one can be eaten??? I'm learning new things here and thanks to Gtag! @skellyshelly . No one plant this in Nigeria, it's weed that grows on its own and people sometimes use as sponge but mostly it's ignored or cut off
#loofah already sprouted.
What's a loofah?
Mine are lookin much like this as well.
@growerguy - Loofah is a what you buy to exfoliate in the shower, or scrub pans, etc. Its almost a type of cucumber when its young, as it's edible. Once its mature it turns into a great natural sponge-ish scrubber. They grow quickly.
@floridagirlforever @growerguy marysue don't you have a pic on Your plant list. I have one on mine but my pic is when they are still green.
@ripjuju Yes. @growerguy , if you look at my plant list, there's a pic if the seeds soaking, and loofah right next to them...
