Mine is a disaster Pearl - any tips🤔 It's grown new leaves but is still very sparce🤔

Mine was fabulous last year, even at Christmas! It was getting too big so I got Barry to give it a haircut. I want it tallish so I can grow under it . Have you had the usual red leaves @thomasrat3 ? Maybe a little trim might help 😉

I love tjis shrub ..i used to have one in our previous house ... I saw one in bath the size of a medium tree up to the first floor window .. Out of control or what??

@MagicsAngel I won't let mine get that tall. I like it this height so will probably prune next year. It can be cut down each year to make a hedge with several planted. Also can make ball shapes out of them but I think it might affect its flowering 😞

Hi @wizzykat do you cut them down a lot ie as in a hedge. I've never cut this so it's doing its own thing which I like. Have thought about them for the front garden as a hedge though 🤔🤔

Hi fushia....no never been cut but not as bushy as your specimen!! I've seen them as a hedge & are gorgeous!! I think my plants are a bit too spindly & young for blooming yet perhaps 😢

Possibly mine is a couple of years old. Just watered well but could be where you live maybe. I'm in Essex 😂
