I fell in love with Bali in 2009 and have since spent 7 years slowly creating my Balinese garden.

My grandson's bean plant has a home in my garden. Is this ready for picking? How do I tell and what do we do with it once picked? #help 😮

Looks ready to me. Take them out of the shell and boil gently for five minutes, or add to stir fry, soup, casserole etc. Lovely

Thanks @joanboston , so when they become horizontal and get that line thing? I gather that's where it will split.

Yes you open it along that line. They don't necessarily become horizontal though. You should be able to feel the beans inside the pod @gailybob

Hopefully he'll try them if he's grown them! My granddaughter was eating runner beans raw as we picked them! @gailybob
