Sunday night, so that must mean it's bare root potting time again. I've got fifty to plant between front and back gardens, gonna be busy 😀 I want to enjoy these aquilegias before downy mildew arrives and wipes them out 😥 They didn't have Deirdre Barlow. #bareroot

That's going to keep you busy 😁😁 I have aquilegia Blue Barlow and just bought Green Apples. Already spotted greenflies on them 😐

@ublaszko wow, that's early for greenfly! Unless they're overwintering and not on the wing. I used to get them overwintering by the hundreds on my euphorbias at my old garden. It took the beast from the east followed by an army of ladybirds to kill the little buggers and let the plants recover.

Hahaha!😅 Me and my eldest daughter call him Barry Garlow for some reason. Don't ask! 😄 @rachelbrooks

We've had greeflies, slugs and snails all through this winter as it's been so mild. Not as many as during the growing season but still damaging my pulmonarias, aquilegias and passionflower.

50 will keep you busy for a bit! Will be worth it in spring though

@keely that's 50 perennials, not all aquilegias - it's not clear in my post 😌 If only! Looking like a plant nursery around the side of the house at the minute 😏 I'm going to cheat a bit and Rotavate the front, don't want to be busting my balls digging in full view of the neighbours for weeks on end. Just needs to be boom! Job done.

Bleh, hope you get them under control soon Urzsula, the little turds 😟 Show 'em who's boss! 😉I found bramble cuttings the best deterrent for our slithery fiends. @ublaszko

Must try that! I could probably use gooseberry prunings 😉
