We grew sunflowers for the JDRF sunflower challenge (our daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year so it's our charity of choice) - sadly we seemed to peak at 6ft with one sunflower (not pictured) choosing to face the house rather than show it's face! :-D

They also had a fight with slugs, I sprinkled egg shells around but the sneaky pests still found a way!
