Def not a giant think this was one that seeded from bird food 🙄🌻 only about 2ft tall - I didn’t intentionally grow any this year

Have about a doz sunflowers growing from bird seed that fell into my bag of compost after bird seed bag had been chewed by a mouse 🐭🌱🌱🌱

I wasn’t going to plant any this year then found some seeds so chucked them into this awful bit of soil at the beginning of June so not doing badly - haven’t thinned just left them to it 🌻🌻 #sunflower

@amyb240288 Hi Amy my tallest one - about 11½ ft broke in the wind whilst I was in Kent a couple of weeks back 😢🌻 . The fence is 6' high I've not measured this one .

@Highcliffeplants - 😂 that spot always has the tallest one - most sunshine perhaps but 9½ ft tallest before - this is 3rd year I've grown them 🌻🌻

Maybe you could use some string & then measure that on the ground. It should get to 12 ft by the time it's finished! 👏👏👏
