Finally got my first #blackswallowtailcaterpillar after 3 years of growing this #fennel. Unfortunately, the darn thing started browning, and just died on me 🤷♀️ I have no idea why. Now all my babies have moved on. Hopefully they are still close by, and will visit me as #butterflies soon #wildlifewednesday
I know @gardengirlla 😢 you should have seen me when I first spotted them. I told my husband that it’s like I just gave birth after being pregnant for 3 years. I was so very excited!
Omg I know @cyndi I have my 4 yr old niece over here daily watching them with me. It’s something we have all learned about, but very few get to watch the entire process. I’m still on the lookout for any chrysalis, as yesterday was the first day of no cats. But so far nada.
