Penstemon 'Andenken an Friedrich Hahn' syn. Penstemon 'Garnet'

It is the time of year when Penstemon start to look a little scruffy.Please, please don't cut them down until the spring (in the UK),their top growth provides perfect protection from the ravages of winter and sees them safely through into a new year to provide colourful blooms all summer long.. I've got mine wrapped up in fleece, just to be sure, and I'm really glad I didn't cut it down.
