Hi Stephen. Will you be transplanting them or just feeding with fertiliser for next year? My potted irises did great last year, and now it was really disappointing to see just a couple to flower. Any idea most welcome, please.
Am going to feed all of the Iris in pots until leaves die down then going to look and see what bulbs look like. Unfortunately, I believe they all have a tendency to split into loads of tiny bulbs which then take few years to get back to flowering size. So might end up ditching and just buying new ones every year for pots. Think a lot of tulips only last one year as well, just one of those things. @7walnutclose
Thank you, it makes sense. I have got a few clumps planted in ground, and they flowered really great second year... Maybe they prefer to be 'out', but the same time look great potted 🤔 Decision, decision... Thank you! 👍
