Signs of #newlife on my πΆπ» chocolate trees ππ

Love these πππ always wanted one do you put it outside in Summer?

They were really small babies last year and spent all summer outside. They'll go back outside in May, but once stronger they'll stay out all year and be planted in the garden π @Keely

They are lovely not sure if they'd survive up here would have to bring it indoors until it was more mature even summerhouse is cold n damp in Winter π£

They'd need tlc until they had good strong roots. Mine were only 6 inches tall when I had them last year, now both 2ft. But still babies πΆπ»π @Keely

My baby chocolate trees are doing fab! ππ

Aren't they beautiful! @hayleyaj

They really are Karen! So many colours. They'll be going in the garden as soon as they are big enough ππ @Patiorose

Lovely. I wanted this one but I've bought the green one as it's hardier βΊ

These babies will be overwintered but once they get to a better size, they'll be fine in our garden Julie. Hardy to -10 so should be ok in Northampton π @vec

Might just order one then πππ

I got the 2 as teeny babies for Β£20. So nothing to lose really! ππ @vec

Bargain. I've got some on my watch list on EBay π

Beautiful π

@hayleyaj I want those!!! Love em!!ππ

Oh my! This is a tree I need in our garden! Grows up to 20ft but less in a container. I love it's tropical look as it's a canopy forming tree so will work well with the palms etc we have as youngsters. RHS awarded it an AGM for great performance, because of its versatility. The chocolate colour against green will be amazing!! ππβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Hayley this could be my all time favourite tree. I have one in a pot but a friend who opens for the #ngs has a gorgeous one planted in the ground and it's just so beautiful. There is also a massive one near where I live, it's the most beautiful site when in flower. They grow readily in France, which is where I first came across it many moons ago. Buy one - you won't regret it βΊοΈ xx

@clipperty if they are hardy in most of the UK, then I want one of these too! π

Wow, that is stunning Hayley. I wish my garden was big enough. @hayleyaj .πππ₯

Yes hardy down to -5!! @jeatacake That's why mine will go in a pot @pelly !! It's a stunner isn't it @clipperty you can buy 2 babies for Β£20 from Van Meuwen!! β€οΈβ€οΈππ

Thanks Hayley! You've definitely inspired me into getting one, even if it has to go in a pot π

@jeatacake Jeff - yep buy buy buy π€

Lol @clipperty π I might just go for it! π

Oh that looks fabulous Hayley I'll just pop it on my wish list thank you π

It's beautiful and as you say a lovely contrast! Tempted myself now! Thanks for sharing!
