Now this may sound a bit bizarre! But I’ve been “training” these foxgloves since I planted them from seed grown young plants. I didn’t want them to form the big rosette at the base where the leaves would prevent the other plants I’d planted in that bed, from getting light to grow too. So since planting out last Autumn, I’ve been constantly removing the bottom 2 tiers of leaves. This has made the the remaining leaves grow upwards rather than outwards. So I’m hoping my challenge has paid off! 😂😂

I do this too Hayley, but because I hate looking at the leaves when they're brown and nibbled and yes it does make for a better looking plant 👍🏼😀

Very interesting! I've never heard of this! This old dog learned something new today! Thanks Hayley and @sieveheadsarah !💘😍

Nice tip, thanks 💕

Loved this late Spring this year. I've planted 2 Foxgloves in this bed for next year, 2 honesty and multiple Alliums for late spring colour (hopefully)! There were 5 Foxglove this year 😊 #flashbackfriday

Oh so so many flower heads on these! It's going to be a mass of spires! 😁

Thanks Johnny! I do like it when a plan comes together! They need to flower to make for the Dahlias that will be replacing them! 😆 @ukjohnny

WOW! They must like you Hayley!💘😍

Well as I sowed them, nurtured them, planted them and water them, I hope they do Shelley! 😆😆 @ShelleySnyder
