Phytolacca americana

So this began growing in my yard this summer I know it's considered invasive but as a renter I can't really control what they do. I try but they do that they do. Anyway I really like the hot pink stems and think it looks quite pretty. #pokeweed

Poke really is a pretty weed, can get very tall and outspread too. Edible if you're that interested in a long process, but yeah, aggressive, I break the stems when I see them in my immediate yard area

Only by seeds, I don't believe they have runners

I also just learned the sap can cause an allergic reaction in many people. Obviously not me because I have handled it often. That's odd tho because once a long while back I read the inner bark sap was a folk remedy for poison ivy, hmmm.
